About Sheridan

Sheridan has been creating premium quality home and lifestyle products for 50 years, loved as an icon of distinctly Australian style. Inspired by the unique Australian landscape, they passionately create beautiful Australian living each season, through tonal and textural subtlety for the home. Partnering with OMG to increase site traffic, we devised an integrated SEO marketing strategy to do just that.

Challenges

From December 2020, Sheridan partnered with OMG to deliver an SEO strategy. We encountered several challenges: 404 pages, slow site speed; duplicate content on key category pages; unoptimised and missing metadata elements; and a lack of search engine visibility in general.

Our Gurus engineered an integrated marketing strategy to:

  • Maximise visibility in their highly competitive industry and drive greater organic revenue through effective SEO strategies.

Our Approach

Upon onboarding Sheridan, our SEO Gurus’ first priority was to rectify all the technical issues with the site. It is always a collaborative approach, where we understand the client goals and the broader scope of the particular niche, given the competitive landscape of the industry, it was decided that more of the resource allocation would be dedicated to link building & building greater authority in the chosen product categories.

Our talented team of Gurus, then went to work at acquiring quality & relevant targeted backlinks, and driving those link targets towards our chosen product collection pages. Within the timeframe of 6 months, we have able to build greater visibility & organic revenue with our targeted product categories.

Further activity included:

  • Provided adhoc consulting on UX recommendations to further optimise the site.
  • Fixing key technical SEO elements as prior to onboarding, the site’s site speed and metadata weren’t optimised. We ensured that best practices were applied to maximise crawl budget.
  • Building authority with relevant & authoritative referral domains (which increased the amount of referral traffic & domain authority)
