How Do You Calculate SEO ROI?

Monthly Search Volume

Monthly Search Volume refers to the amount of times a keyword was searched for in a month. For using the calculator, add up the monthly search volume from all the keywords you are targeting. 

Average Order Value 

Average Order Value represents the average total of every order placed. Find this by dividing the total revenue by the number of orders. You may also be able to find this in your analytics software.

Lifetime Value

Lifetime Value is the total amount amount of revenue a business can reasonably expect from one customer.  Not sure how to calculate it? Check out our FAQs below on how to calculate it.

Your conversion rate is easy to calculate. Simply divide the number of visitors by the number of conversions you had in a month. If you have set up tracking, you'll also be able to find this information in your analytics platform. (i.e. Google Ads, Facebook Ads etc.)

Here are 5 steps to calculate CLV:

1. Calculate Average Order Value: Divid the total revenue by the total number of orders in a given time period

2. Calculate the Avergae Purchase Frequency Rate: Divide the number of orders by the total number of unique customers in a given time period.

3. Calculate Customer Value: Multiply the Average Order Value by the Average Purchase Frequency Rate.

4. Calculate Average Customer Lifespan: Find this by averaging the time a customer stays with the business.

5. Calculate the Customer Lifetime Value: Multiply Customer Value (found in step 3) by Average Customer Lifespan.
